4.25 inch Hollow Stem Augers for soil sampling and groundwater monitoring

The minimum hollow stem auger sizes recommended for installation of 2-inch diameter casing is 4.25 inches; however, larger hollow stem auger sizes may be necessary. The Environmental Protection Agency recommends the inner diameter of the auger be 3 inches to 5 inches greater than the outer diameter of the casing.
