8 1/4″ (210mm) Double Key Heavy Duty Hollow Stem Auger

Description

All 8 1/4″ (210mm) Double Key Hollow Stem Augers feature a continuous hardfaced flighting design, 3/8″ (9.5 mm) thick on the outer edge with a 6″ (152mm) pitch. The heavy duty, tapered tool joints are made from 4142 alloy steel and feature double-bolt connections.

Hollow stem augers are used extensively for soil sampling and groundwater monitoring in industrial and commercial installations. The advantages of hollow stem augers are many. Unlike the solid stem method, drill rods can pass through the center of the auger section and an undisturbed sample of the soil can be taken for analysis or groundwater monitoring pipe can be installed.
