The milled tooth (steel tooth) tricone bits drilling for soft to
medium rock formation.
The medium formation milled tooth tricone bits are used to drill
high compressive strength, medium rock formation. Shoot projection
teeth with reduced crest length are used in this series of bit
designs. Durable hard facing is applied to reduce tooth wear.
The soft formation milled tooth tricone bits are used to drill low
compressive strength, soft formation. Long projection tooth lengths
are used on high offset cones to provide the greatest penetrations
rates possible. Wear resistance hard facing is used to control
tooth wear. On the softest bit types this hard facing completely
covers the bit teeth.
Main features
- The wear-resistance of teeth is enhanced with premium tungsten
carbide hard facing on the tooth surfaces for steel tooth bit.
High precision roller bearing with two thrust faces. Ball lock the
cone. Thrust faces hard-face with wear resistant alloy. Abrasion
resistance and seizure resistance of the bearing are improved.
- Multiple gauge protection with gauge trimmers on the heel and gauge
inserts on the gauge surface of the cone, tungsten carbide inserts
and hard-facing on the shirttail increases gauge holding capability
and bearing life.

Tricone bits , hole openers can be used to explore /drill
gas/oil/geothermal/water wells. 3 7/8”~26” are available for Tricone bits. 4 1/2”~17 1/2” are
available for Diamond PDC bits.
The TCI Tricone Bit ranges in size from 3.875” (88.9mm) to 28”
(711.2mm)
The Mill Tooth TriCone Bit ranges in size from 5” (127mm to 32”
(812.8mm)
